Easy Caramel Frosting
- 1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
1/4 cup whole milk
2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Bring the butter and brown sugars in a
saucepan over medium heat to a boil and cook for 2 minutes, stirring
occasionally. Add the milk and bring mixture back to a boil.
- Remove pan from heat and stir in the powdered
sugar and vanilla, mixing until frosting is smooth. Frost cooled
cake immediately.
Frosts and fills an 8 or
9-inch layer cake or 1 (13 x 9-inch) cake.
