An easy chocolate pudding version of the classic 'Poke Cake'.

Easy Pudding Cake

3 large eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 (18.25-ounce) package chocolate cake mix
1 (7-ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
1 cup powdered sugar
4 cups cold milk
  1. Prepare chocolate cake mix according to the package directions for a 13 x 9-inch cake pan. Bake and remove from the oven; with the handle of a wooden spoon immediately poke holes in the cake about 1-inch apart.
  2. In a bowl combine pudding mix and powdered sugar. Gradually beat in cold milk with an electric mixer at low speed until combined. Mix for 1 minute; quickly pour half of the thin pudding evenly over the warm cake and into the holes. Allow the remaining pudding to thicken; spread evenly over the top of the cake. Chill for 1 hour.

Makes 16 servings.
