Fluffy Cake Frosting
A white fluffy frosting that's not decadently sweet, just right for richly-flavored cakes and cupcakes.
1 cup vegetable shortening
4 cups powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon clear imitation vanilla extract
6 tablespoons heavy cream
- Cream shortening until fluffy.
- Add powdered sugar and continue creaming until well blended.
- Add salt, vanilla, and whipping cream blend on low speed until moistened. Add additional whipping cream if necessary. Beat at high speed until frosting is fluffy.
Makes 4 cups frosting.
