Almost as easy as a cake
mix, but tastes so much better! Toss all the ingredients in one
mixing bowl, mix, pour into a baking pan and bake! Come on...you
know even with a cake mix you have to crack a few eggs and measure
out the oil and water!
One-Bowl
Chocolate Cake
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups granulated
sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
powder
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup water
- 3 large eggs
- 1 1/4 teaspoons baking
powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- Heat oven to 350°F
(175°C). Grease 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
- In large bowl, combine
flour, sugar, cocoa, butter, water, eggs, baking powder, baking
soda, salt and vanilla; with an electric mixer on medium speed
beat until smooth.
- Pour batter into prepared
pan.
- Bake 25 to 30 minutes
or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool
completely in pan on wire rack.
- Frost as desired.
Makes 12 to 15 servings.
