One-Bowl Chocolate Cake

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup water
3 large eggs
1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  1. Heat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
  2. In large bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa, butter, water, eggs, baking powder, baking soda, salt and vanilla; with an electric mixer on medium speed beat until smooth.
  3. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  4. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely in pan on wire rack.
  5. Frost as desired.

Makes 12 to 15 servings.
