Making crunchy, chocolate-covered toffee just doesn't get easier than this easy baked toffee.

Easy Bake Toffee

1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar, packed
2 1/2 cups chopped pecans - divided use
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly butter a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan; set aside.
  2. Combine butter and brown sugar in a heavy, medium saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Stir in 2 cups of pecans.
  3. Pour into the prepared pan and bake 15 for minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with the chocolate chips; when chips have softened, spread evenly over toffee. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup pecans on top. Let cool completely and break into pieces. Store in airtight container.

Makes about 2 pounds candy.
