Premier White Toasted Almond Bark
This easy white chocolate almond bark makes a wonderful sweet treat that's great the holidays and gift-giving.
2 (6-ounce) boxes NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Premier White Baking Bars, broken into pieces
1 tablespoon vegetable shortening
1/2 cup sliced almonds, toasted
1/4 cup NESTLÉ TOLL HOUSE Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
- Line 8-inch-square baking pan with foil.
- Microwave baking bars and vegetable shortening in a medium, microwave-safe bowl on MEDIUM-HIGH (70%) power for 1 minute; stir. Microwave at additional 10 to 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Stir in almonds.
- Pour into prepared baking pan. Refrigerate until firm.
- Place morsels in a heavy-duty plastic bag. Microwave on HIGH (100%) power for 30 seconds; knead until smooth. Microwave at additional 10 to 20-second intervals, kneading until smooth. Cut tiny corner from bag; drizzle over candy. Chill until set. Remove foil; break into bite-size pieces.
Makes 1 pound.
Tip: For an additional touch, top bark with a drizzle of chocolate before placing in refrigerator. Place 2 tablespoons NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels in small, heavy-duty plastic bag. Microwave on HIGH (100%) power for 30 seconds; knead until smooth. Cut tiny corner from bag; drizzle over bark.
