Baked Shells with Chicken and Mushrooms

Baked Shells with Chicken and MushroomsConvenient, ready-made Alfredo sauce makes this casserole quick and easy to assemble on a busy week night. Bow tie (farfalle) pasta is also a great choice for use in this dish.

Recipe Ingredients:

2 (10-ounce) containers BUITONI® Mushroom Alfredo Sauce
1 pound medium shell pasta, prepared according to package directions
2 cups cooked diced chicken (or turkey)
1 cup loose pack frozen peas, defrosted*
2 (4-ounce) cans sliced mushrooms, drained
1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup bread crumbs

Cooking Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine pasta, sauce, chicken, peas and mushrooms in large bowl; spoon into 2-quart baking dish. Combine cheese and bread crumbs in small bowl; sprinkle over pasta mixture.
  3. Bake for 20 minutes or until hot.

Makes 8 servings.

*Easily defrost peas by placing in a strainer and running cold water over them; drain thoroughly.
