Cinnamon Crispies

1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup vegetable shortening
1 1/3 cups granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 1/4 cups crushed corn flakes
  1. Preheat oven to 400*F (205*C).
  2. Cream the butter or margarine with shortening. Add eggs and the sugar and beat until fluffy. Stir in the flour, cinnamon and baking soda, mixing well. Stir in the corn flakes.
  3. Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets and bake for about 9 minutes or until light brown. Let stand for 1 minute then transfer to a wire rack to finish cooling.

Makes 5 dozen.
