These sweet delicate cookies won't be forgotten in the cookie jar -- you might have to make extra batches.

Forgotten Cookies

2 large egg whites
2/3 cup granulated sugar
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In a bowl, with an electric mixer on high speed, beat egg whites until soft peaks form. Add sugar and beat to stiff peaks. Fold in chocolate chips and pecans.
  3. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls 2-inches apart onto an ungreased baking sheet. Place in the oven and immediately turn off heat; leave undisturbed for 4 hours.

Makes 12 cookies.
