Mom's Shortbread Cookies
This terrific recipe for Mom's Shortbread Cookies was submitted by Mimi of Los Angles, California USA.
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
Dash of salt
- Mix all ingredients together until well mixed. Divide mixture in half. Roll into two 1 1/2-inch diameter rolls. Wrap in waxed paper or plastic wrap and refrigerate.
- Slice into approximately 1/4-inch thick rounds. Place on cookie sheet about 1 1/2-inches apart.
- Bake on lower level of a preheated 375°F (190°C) oven for 10 minutes and then transfer to the upper level for 10 minutes.
Makes 2 to 2 1/2 dozen cookies.
