A clafouti (kla-foo-TEE) is a country French dessert made with a layer of fresh fruit topped by batter. It's usually served hot, sometimes with cream.

Apple Clafouti

2 (12-ounce) packages STOUFFER'S® Harvest Apples
4 large eggs
1 cup whipping cream
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
Vegetable cooking spray
Powdered sugar
  1. Thaw harvest apples in microwave at MEDIUM (50% power) 6 to 7 minutes; let stand 2 minutes.
  2. Process eggs and next 4 ingredients in a blender until smooth, stopping to scrape down sides. Pour half of mixture in an 11 x 7-inch baking dish coated with cooking spray. Spoon harvest apples evenly over batter, and pour remaining batter on top.
  3. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 55 to 60 minutes or until set. Sprinkle evenly with powdered sugar.

Makes 6 servings.
