Easy Chocolate Mousse

Easy Chocolate MousseThis 'blender version' is absolutely the easiest chocolate mousse you'll ever make—and it is just as delicious as it is easy, like heaven on spoon!

Recipe Ingredients:

1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 large fresh egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup heavy cream, heated*
Sweetened whipped cream for garnish (optional)
Fresh strawberries for garnish and/or accompaniment (optional)

Cooking Directions:

  1. Place chocolate chips, egg and vanilla into the container of electric blender and blend for 30 seconds.
  2. Remove center of blender lid and while machine is running, slowly pour heated cream into the chocolate mixture. Blend until well mixed and chocolate chips are melted.
  3. Pour into dessert cups, parfait or other stemmed glassware. Refrigerate until set.
  4. Serve garnished with a dollop of sweetened whipped cream and a partially-sliced and fanned out strawberry, with whole fresh strawberries on the side, if desired.

Makes 4 servings.

*Heat just until hot, do not boil.
