
Watch the smiles appear
when you serve this scrumptious sundae -- homemade buttery caramel
and toasted pecan sauce with fresh banana is served over frozen
vanilla custard.
Frozen
Custard Caramel Butter Sundae
- 3/4 cup butter
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup whipping cream
6 small bananas, quartered
Vanilla frozen custard or ice cream
- Melt butter in 2-quart
saucepan over medium heat. Add pecans; sauté 3 minutes
or until foamy and fragrant.
- Stir in brown sugar and
whipping cream. Bring to boil; continue boiling 5 minutes, stirring
occasionally. Remove from heat.
- Gently stir in bananas;
let stand 5 minutes.
- Serve over vanilla frozen
custard (or ice cream).
