A deliciously refreshing and unique cream cheese frozen dessert with crushed pineapple, chopped dates and maraschino cherries and a hint of citrus.

Frozen Orange Date Molds

1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup orange juice
1 (8 1/4-ounce) crushed pineapple, drained
1/2 cup finely chopped pitted dates
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/4 cup maraschino cherries, halved
1/2 teaspoon finely shredded orange peel
1 cup whipping cream

1. In a large mixing bowl combine cream cheese and orange juice. Beat until fluffy. Stir in pineapple, dates, nuts, cherries, and orange peel.
2. Whip the cream until soft peaks form. Fold whipped cream into fruit mixture.
3. Spoon into 9 individual molds or one 8 x 4 x 2-inch loaf dish. Cover and freeze until firm.
4. Let stand at room temperature 15 minutes before serving.

Makes 9 servings.
