
Serve this pizza as an
appetizer, for dessert or breakfast.
Limburger
and Fruit Pizza
- 1 (7-ounce) package Wisconsin
Limburger cheese
1 loaf frozen bread dough, thawed according to package directions
1/4 cup cornmeal
1 cup halved seedless red grapes or halved dark sweet cherries
1/2 cup pecan halves
- Cut away 1/4 inch rind
from all sides of cheese; discard rind. Shred remaining cheese.
Set aside.
- Cut bread dough into 4
equal pieces. Roll out each piece to 6-inch circle.
- Sprinkle cornmeal onto
greased baking sheet and place 4 dough rounds on baking sheet.
Sprinkle each round with 1/4 cup shredded cheese. Top each with
1/4 cup grapes and several pecan halves. Sprinkle each with several
tablespoons shredded cheese.
- Bake at 425°F (220°C)
for 15 minutes.
