Linda's Vanilla Ice Cream
Linda's recipe for a delicious vanilla custard ice cream.
2 cups milk
1/2 cup granulated sugar
3 large egg yolks, beaten
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup chilled whipping cream (not whipped)
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- In a medium saucepan, combine milk, sugar, yolks and salt. Bring to slight boil, stirring constantly. Set aside. Cool in refrigerator.
- Stir in whipping cream and vanilla. Freeze in ice cream freezer according to manufacturer's instructions.
Makes 12 servings.
