Sure to become a favorite
dessert for its ease in preparation and its make-ahead benefit...not
to mention its great taste!
Malted
Ice Cream Torte
- 1 1/2 cups vanilla cookie
crumbs
1/2 cup ground pecans
1/2 cup malted milk powder
1/2 cup chilled butter, cut into chunks
1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream
1/2 cup malted milk powder
1 1/2 cups malted milk ball candy, coarsely chopped
- In a large bowl, combine
crumbs, pecans and malted milk powder. Mix in butter. Press onto
bottom and 1 1/2 inches up sides of 9 inch springform pan.
- Bake at 325°F (160°C)
for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool.
- Place ice cream in refrigerator
for 30 minutes, or until soft enough to stir. Add malted milk
powder; stir until well-combined. Spread over crust.
- Sprinkle with candy, pressing
candy lightly into ice cream.
- Freeze at least 4 hours.
Makes 12 servings.
