Top scoops of rice pudding
with your favorite sundae toppings.
Rice
Pudding Sundaes
- 3 cups cooked rice
3 cups 2% milk
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt (optional)
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- Suggested toppings: Fresh
fruit (bananas, strawberries, peaches, blueberries, etc.) hot
fudge, chocolate chips, colored sprinkles, crushed oreo cookies,
chopped nuts, whipped cream, maraschino cherries
- Combine rice, milk, sugar,
salt and butter 3-quart saucepan. Cook over medium heat until
thickened, 25 to 30 minutes, stirring often. Add vanilla. Chill.
- To make sundaes, use an
ice cream scoop to make 3 small scoops of chilled rice pudding.
Place in a sundae dish and top with desired toppings.
Makes 6 servings.
