A cool and refreshing strawberry
sorbet infused with orange liqueur.
Sparkling
Strawberry Ice
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup water
4 cups strawberries
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 cup orange liqueur
- In a small saucepan combine
sugar and water. Stir over medium heat to dissolve the sugar.
Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer for 5 minutes. Cool.
- In a blender combine the
sugar mixture, strawberries, lemon juice, and orange liqueur.
Blend until smooth, scraping the sides of the container.
- Pour into a shallow bowl
and place in a freezer. When frozen about 1-inch around the edge,
process in a blender or food processor until smooth. Return to
the freezer and freeze until firm. Remove from freezer 15 minutes
before serving then spoon into 6 serving dishes.
Makes 6 servings.
