Strawberries and Yogurt San Remo

No recipe image available.Sugared, sliced strawberries topped with a rich brandied egg and yogurt sauce.

Recipe Ingredients:

2 cups strawberries, sliced
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
3 large egg yolks
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 tablespoon brandy
2 cups plain yogurt
2 tablespoons slivered almonds

Cooking Directions:

  1. In a bowl mix sliced strawberries and sugar; let stand, covered, for 5 minutes.
  2. In a bowl combine egg yolks, sugar, vanilla, nutmeg, and brandy; beat with an electric mixer at medium speed until smooth. Fold in yogurt.
  3. Spoon the strawberries into 4 serving dishes and top with the yogurt mixture. Sprinkle with slivered almonds.

Makes 4 servings.
