Could there be anything
more refreshing to eat than pure and simple strawberry sorbet?
No alcohol in this sorbet makes it 'kid-friendly'.
Strawberry
Sorbet
- 1 cup water
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 (10-ounce) package frozen strawberries, thawed
- Combine water and sugar
in a small saucepan and bring to a boil; stir until sugar dissolves.
Remove from heat.
- Pour strawberries and
their juice into a food mill or sieve and force the mixture through
into a bowl.
- Combine strawberry puree
and sugar mixture in a bowl; cover.
- Pour mixture into an ice
cream freezer following the manufacturer's directions or freeze
mixture in pan until solid, cut into squares and process in food
processor until smooth.; pour into pan and refreeze until solid.
Serve.
Makes 6 servings.
