White Dipped Fruit

White Dipped FruitA sensational dessert that will win everyone over at your next party!

Recipe Ingredients:

1 (6-ounce) box NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Premier White Baking Bars, broken into pieces
1 tablespoon vegetable shortening (do not use butter, margarine, spread or oil)
24 bite size pieces fresh fruit*

Cooking Directions:

  1. Line baking sheet with waxed paper.
  2. Microwave baking bars and vegetable shortening in medium, microwave-safe bowl on MEDIUM-HIGH (70%) power for 1 minute; stir. Microwave at additional 10 to 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth; cool slightly.
  3. Dip fruit about halfway into melted baking bars; shake off excess. Place on prepared baking sheet; refrigerate until set.

Makes 24 pieces.

*Such as whole strawberries, orange segments, peeled and sliced kiwifruit and banana slices. Rinse fruit as needed, and thoroughly pat dry with paper towels.

Tip: Pretzels, nuts, dried fruit, pound cake or cookies can also be used.
