1 pound ground pork
1/2 pound ham, ground
3/4 cup milk
3 to 4 drops red food color, if desired
1 large egg
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1 tablespoon instant tapioca
1/2 teaspoon prepared horseradish
  1. In large bowl, mix together all ingredients with hands until well blended.
  2. Place mixture in loaf pan and bake at 325 degrees F. for 1 hour.
  3. Pour sauce (recipe follows) over Ham Loaf and bake for another 30 minutes, basting occasionally with sauce.
  4. Remove from oven; let stand 10 minutes before removing from pan. Slice to serve.

Serves 6.
