Maggi Meatloaf

Maggi MeatloafThis tasty meatloaf is the perfect recipe when you want to add a dash of comfort with a touch of class to a weekday meal. The secret ingredient in this recipe is the sofrito (tomato, garlic, onion) paste.

Recipe Ingredients:

3 MAGGI Garlic Flavor Seasoning Cubes, crushed
1/4 cup hot water
1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
2 (3.98-ounce) packets MAGGI Sofrito Seasoning Paste (tomato, garlic, onion) - divided use
1 small onion, finely chopped
1/2 medium green bell pepper, finely chopped
1 cup plain dry bread crumbs
2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley or cilantro - divided use
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 large eggs, slightly beaten

Cooking Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Dissolve seasoning cubes in hot water.
  2. Combine beef, 1 packet sofrito, onion, bell pepper, bread crumbs, seasoning cube mixture, 1 tablespoon parsley, black pepper and eggs in large bowl; mix well.
  3. Shape mixture into a loaf and place in ungreased 13x9x2-inch baking pan. Spread remaining packet sofrito on top of meatloaf.
  4. Bake for 60 to 70 minutes or until no longer pink in center. Let stand for 10 to 15 minutes before serving. Sprinkle with remaining 1 tablespoon parsley.
