Quick-Mix Country-Style SausageMaking sausage is simple, it's just seasoned ground meat. Use a basic sausage recipe and adapt to your family's tastes.

Recipe Ingredients:

1 pound lean ground pork
3/4 teaspoon ground sage
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Cooking Directions:

  1. Thoroughly mix seasonings into pork. May refrigerate, covered, overnight to allow flavors to "marry".
  2. Shape into patties and brown or crumble and brown for use in a recipe.

Makes 8 servings.
