Everybody loves unique finger food and appetizers at parties and get togethers. Next time try these quick and easy wedges for easy entertaining.
Sausage, Cheese and Green Chile Pie
- 1 pound bulk sausage, cooked and drained
1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
2 cups (8 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese
3 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 (16-ounce) jar ORTEGA Salsa - Thick & Chunky (Medium), divided use
1 (4-ounce) can ORTEGA® Diced Green Chiles
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
1 cup (8 ounces) sour cream
- PREHEAT oven to 375°F (175°C).
- PLACE sausage in bottom of pie shell; sprinkle with cheese.
- COMBINE eggs,1 1/4 cups salsa, chiles, chili powder, cumin; mix well. Pour over cheese and sausage mixture.
- BAKE for 30 to 35 minutes or until a knife inserted near center comes out clean. Garnish with cilantro. Serve with remaining salsa and a dollop of sour cream.
