These ground beef patties,
infused with minced roasted red peppers and chopped black olives,
are served on crusty sandwich rolls with garlic mayonnaise.
Spicy
Spanish-Style Burgers
- 1 pound lean ground beef
1 large egg, beaten
2 ounces roasted red peppers, seeded and minced
1/4 cup chopped black olives
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon garlic powder
4 crusty sandwich rolls
4 romaine lettuce leaves
- In large bowl, combine
beef, egg, peppers, olives, Worcestershire sauce, paprika and
salt. Mix well and form into 4 oval patties.
- Heat a large nonstick
skillet over medium-high heat. Add patties and cook 7 minutes;
turn over and cook and additional 5 minutes until cooked through.
- While the burgers are
cooking, combine mayonnaise and garlic powder.
- Spread the garlic mayonnaise
on the rolls; top with a burger and a leaf of Romaine. Finish
with roll tops. Serve immediately.
