Yet another version of
the classic 'sloppy joe', a sandwich made with a saucy ground
beef and vegetable mixture served on hamburger buns.

Burgers
- 1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
1 (14 1/2-ounce) can whole tomatoes
1 cup crushed corn flakes
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup tomato ketchup
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 package hamburger bun
- In a 12-inch skillet over
medium heat brown ground beef. Drain.
- Stir in chopped onion,
pepper, whole tomatoes, crushed corn flakes, Worcestershire sauce,
ketchup, paprika, salt, and pepper. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer
about 15 minutes.
- Serve on hamburger buns.
Makes 8 servings.
