A yummy, green-tinted marshmallow corn flake mixture is formed into 'Christmas wreaths' and decorated with red hots, miniature candy-coated chocolates or candied red cherries. An easy recipe the kids will have fun helping to make.

Christmas Wreaths

1/2 cup butter or margarine
35 large marshmallows
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 teaspoons green food coloring
5 cups corn flakes
Red hots, miniature candy-coated chocolates or candied red cherries cut in half
  1. In a large saucepan, melt butter with marshmallows over medium heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add vanilla and food coloring, mixing well. Add corn flakes and mix until the cereal is well coated with marshmallow mixture.
  2. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto a waxed paper or foil-lined baking sheet. Quickly from into "wreaths" with buttered fingers and decorate with red hots, candy-coated chocolates or cherry candy halves.
  3. Chill until firm.

Makes 2 dozen.
