The classic gelatin poke cake with a Halloween-themed color scheme!

Halloween Orange Gelatin Poke Cake

1 (18.25-ounce) package white cake mix
1 cup boiling water
1/2 cup cold water
1 (3.25-ounce) package orange gelatin
1 (8-ounce) container nondairy whipped topping, thawed
1/2 teaspoon yellow food coloring
1/4 teaspoon red food coloring
Halloween sprinkles
  1. Prepare cake batter and bake in 13 x 9-inch baking pan as directed on package. Cool cake in pan 15 minutes. Pierce cake with large fork at 1/2-inch intervals.
  2. In a small bowl, stir boiling water with gelatin until completely dissolved. Add cold water and stir to mix well. Carefully pour over cake. Refrigerate for 3 to 4 hours.
  3. Tint whipped topping orange with food coloring; spread on top of cake. Refrigerate for 1 hour or more before serving
  4. Just before serving, decorate with sprinkles.

Makes 16 servings.
