Mummy Dogs

Mummy DogsWrap up hotdogs for a mummified take on a favorite fingerfood. Refrigerated breadsticks make easy work of the transformation.

Recipe Ingredients:

1 (11-ounce) package refrigerated bread sticks (12 bread sticks)
12 jumbo frankfurters
Catsup and mustard
Capers

Cooking Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Unwrap breadsticks. Stretch each bread stick to 12 inches. Wrap dough around frankfurters, letting the frankfurters show slightly through the bread. Press in capers for eyes.
  3. Bake in preheated oven for about 12 minutes or until bread is golden brown.
  4. Serve with catsup and mustard.

Makes 12 mummy dogs.

Tip: Make appetizer mummy dogs using cocktail wieners and a pinch of the breadstick dough rather than a full breadstick.
