These not-so-scary pumpkin bars, frosted
with cream cheese icing, make a yummy, fall-flavored treat.
Petrifying
Pumpkin Bars For A Crowd
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup apple sauce
2 cups canned pumpkin
1 cup chopped nuts
- 2 cans ready-made cream
cheese frosting (or use the recipe Cream Cheese
Frosting)
- Combine dry ingredients,
add eggs, oil, apple sauce and pumpkin. Mix well.
- Stir in nuts.
- Divide batter into two
9 x 13-inch ungreased pans.
- Bake 20 to 25 minutes
at 350°F (175°C). Cool.
- Frost with cream cheese
frosting, if desired.
