Deliciously easy dessert
parfaits with colorful layers to match the patriotic spirit of
an Independence Day celebration.
Red,
White & Blue Parfaits
- 1 (3.25-ounce) package
red gelatin, any flavor
1 (3.25-ounce) package blueberry gelatin
- 1 cup sliced strawberries
- 1 cup blueberries
1 (8-ounce) container nondairy whipped topping, thawed
- Prepare each gelatin flavor
in separate bowls as directed on packages.
- Pour each flavor into
separate 8-inch square pans.
- Refrigerate 4 hours or
until firm. Cut gelatin in each pan into 1/2-inch cubes. Dip
pans in warm water to ease the removal of gelatin cubes.
- In 8 dessert glasses,
spoon red gelatin cubes with strawberries; then whipped topping;
then blueberry gelatin cubes with blueberries; top with a dollop
of whipped topping. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Makes 8 servings.
