Caramel Apple Cheese Pie

2 (3-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 (9-inch) graham cracker pie crust
2 tablespoons butter
1 apple, peeled and sliced
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup bottled caramel sauce
  1. Beat softened cream cheese and powdered sugar in a mixing bowl until fluffy. Spread on the bottom of a graham cracker pie crust.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter then add sliced apple. Cook, stirring, until tender-crisp, about 5 minutes. Drain well.
  3. Arrange the sliced apples on top of the cheese mixture, overlapping the slices. Sprinkle with cinnamon, cover, and chill thoroughly. Drizzle with warm caramel sauce.

Makes 8 servings.
