This easy-as-pie dessert
is a good make-ahead treat for parties and casual entertaining.
Cherry-Topped
Cream Cheese Pie
- 1 (8-ounce) package cream
cheese, softened
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 (8-ounce) container sour cream
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 (8-ounce) container frozen dessert topping, thawed
1 (10-inch) graham cracker pie crust
1 (21-ounce) can cherry pie filling
- In a large bowl, with
an electric mixer at medium speed, beat cream cheese and sugar
until smooth.
- Add sour cream and vanilla
and beat until well blended.
- Fold in whipped topping.
- Transfer to pie crust
and top with cherry pie filling.
- Cover and chill for at
least 3 hours before serving.
