This easy-as-pie dessert is a good make-ahead treat for parties and casual entertaining.

Cherry-Topped Cream Cheese Pie

1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 (8-ounce) container sour cream
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 (8-ounce) container frozen dessert topping, thawed
1 (10-inch) graham cracker pie crust
1 (21-ounce) can cherry pie filling
  1. In a large bowl, with an electric mixer at medium speed, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add sour cream and vanilla and beat until well blended. Fold in whipped topping. Transfer to pie crust and top with cherry pie filling. Cover and chill for at least 3 hours before serving.
