Name aside, this recipe
is actually for the classic chocolate chip pie. It's a great-tasting
pie, but definitely best served warm...and even better with a
scoop of ice cream.
Chocolate
Sweet Pie
- 1/2 cup butter
2 large eggs, beaten
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts
- 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
- Preheat oven to 350°F
(175°C).
- In a large bowl cream
together softened butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time and
blend well after each addition. Add flour, blend well. Stir in
semisweet chocolate chips and chopped nuts. Pour into unbaked
pie shell.
- Bake 45 to 50 minutes,
or center is set. Cool completely.
Makes 8 servings.
