Serve wedges of this rich
chocolate fudge pie with a dollop of sweetened whipped cream
or a scoop of vanilla ice cream. To gild the lily, add a drizzle
of hot fudge sauce.

- 1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
1/2 cup butter, melted
2 large eggs, beaten
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
- Preheat oven to 350°F
(175°C).
- In a bowl combine sugar,
flour, cocoa, butter, beaten eggs, and vanilla. Stir in pecans,
and pour into unbaked pie shell.
- Bake for 25 minutes, or
until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
Makes 8 servings.
