Hillbilly Pie

1 unbaked pie shell (see recipe)
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup oatmeal
3/4 cup light corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs
  1. Melt butter, add sugar, oatmeal, syrup, eggs, and vanilla; beat well.
  2. Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake for 45 minutes at 350*F (175*C), or until pie is set.

Makes 6 to 8 servings.
