Honey Pie

No recipe image available.Natural honey take the place of processed sugar and corn syrup in this healthier, delicious version of pecan pie.

Recipe Ingredients:

1 cup honey
3 large eggs, beaten
3 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chopped pecans
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell

Cooking Directions:

  1. In a saucepan, bring honey to a boil. Quickly beat eggs into the honey; add butter, vanilla, chopped pecans, and nutmeg.
  2. Pour into unbaked pie shell.
  3. Bake in a preheated oven at 325°F (160°C) for 25 minutes, or until the center is set.

Makes 8 servings.
