This pecan crust is wonderful with pudding,
cream and fruit pie fillings...and it's gluten-free.
Pecan Nut Crust
- 2 1/2 cups finely ground pecans
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup butter, melted
- Stir together ground nuts, cinnamon and
sugar. Mix in melted butter. Press mixture onto the bottom and
up the sides of a 9-inch pie plate. Chill the for about 30 to
45 minutes.
- Bake in a preheated 350°F (175°C) oven
for 12 to 15 minutes, or until lightly browned. Do not over bake
as nut crusts burn easily. Cool completely before filling.
Makes one 9-inch pie crust.
