Fiesta Pizza with Queso Blanco Cheese
The party's on, South-of-the-Border-style, with this easy pizza topped with refried beans, salsa, bell pepper, queso blanco cheese and green onions.
1 (12-inch) pre-baked thin pizza crust
1 (16-ounce) can vegetarian refried beans
3/4 cup prepared salsa (medium or hot)
1 yellow or red bell pepper, seeded and julienned to make 1 cup
1 cup crumbled Wisconsin Queso Blanco Cheese
1/4 cup green onions, sliced
- Preheat oven to 450ºF (230ºC).
- Place crust on a large baking sheet. Spread beans evenly on the crust; cover with salsa. Sprinkle with peppers, queso blanco cheese and green onions.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
Makes 6 servings.
Variation: Wisconsin Queso Fresco cheese may be used in place of Queso Blanco cheese.
