Provolone and Duck Sausage Pizza
Two types of provolone cheese, aged and mild, sliced duck sausage, shiitake mushrooms, roasted garlic, diced red and yellow bell pepper and chives top a pre-baked pizza crust.
1 (12-inch) pre-baked pizza crust
1/2 cup pizza sauce
1 cup shredded mild provolone cheese
1 cup shredded aged provolone cheese
4 ounces pre-cooked duck sausage, sliced into coins
1/2 cup sliced shiitake mushrooms
1/4 cup diced red bell pepper
1/4 cup diced yellow bell pepper
1 tablespoon roasted, chopped garlic
1/4 cup chopped chives
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Place the pizza crust on a pizza pan or large baking sheet. Spread the sauce evenly over the crust. Sprinkle the provolone cheeses over the sauce. Arrange the sausage over the cheese. Arrange the mushrooms and peppers on top of the sausage. Sprinkle the roasted garlic over the top.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until the crust is lightly browned.
- Sprinkle the chives over the top of the pizza.
