A classic ham recipe for Sunday suppers. Serve with green beans almondine and roasted winter squash.

Ham with Cider Glaze

1 (3 1/2 to 6-pound) fully cooked boneless or shank or butt half, spiral-sliced ham
1 cup apple cider - divided use
4 teaspoons cornstarch
2 teaspoons spicy mustard
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  1. Heat oven to 350°F. Place ham in shallow roasting pan in oven.
  2. Meanwhile, dissolve the cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of the apple cider in a small saucepan. Add remaining apple cider, mustard and cloves and bring to a boil, stirring until thickened.
  3. Pour glaze over ham in oven and baste ham occasionally with this mixture until ham is heated through, about 45 minutes to an hour.

Makes 8 servings.
