A simple clove-studded ham prepared using an oven roasting bag.

Holiday Ham

1 (15-pound) ham
18 whole cloves
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 (14 x 20-inch) oven roasting bag
  1. Remove the skin and trim excess fat from ham. Lightly score ham by making diagonal cuts in a crosshatch pattern. Stud with whole cloves.
  2. Shake flour in oven roasting bag and place in a roasting pan. Place the ham in the bag and close securely. Cut a few slits along the top, inserting a meat thermometer.
  3. Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours, or until the internal temperature registers 125°F (approximately 50°C).
  4. Let stand for 15 minutes before slicing.

Makes 10 servings.
