Pork El Dorado
For a great burrito filling, try this simple recipe for ground pork seasoned with mild green chiles and a packet of taco seasoning.
1 pound ground pork
1 (4-ounce) can diced green chiles
1 package taco seasoning mix
3/4 cup water
Flour tortillas for serving
Sour cream for accompaniment
Shredded lettuce for accompaniment
- In a skillet, brown ground pork until cooked through. Drain. Stir in chopped green chili peppers, taco seasoning mix, and water. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer, uncovered, for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Serve rolled in flour tortillas, burrito-style, with sour cream and chopped lettuce.
Makes 4 servings.
Tip: Use this filling for tacos, also.
