Sheila Gentry of Elko created a simple
and tasty country-style rib recipe to win first place at the
Georgia National Fair.

Ribs
- 5 pounds boneless country-style
pork ribs
1 cup liquid steak seasoning, (such as Dales)
1/4 cup lemon juice, (2 medium lemons)
1 cup dark brown sugar, packed
2 tablespoons mesquite flakes, (such as Durkees® St.
Louis Style)
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Place ribs in a large
self-sealing plastic bag. Combine remaining ingredients in a
small bowl, stir to blend and pour over chops. Seal bag and refrigerate
for 12 to 24 hours.
- Heat grill to high heat
or heat broiler. Remove ribs from marinade (discarding marinade).
- Grill over hot coals or
place on broiler rack and pan, broil 4 to 5 inches from heat
source for 25 to 30 minutes, turning every 5 minutes.
Makes 8 to 10 servings.
