
An ideal salad for buffet
parties, guests build their own fruit and cheese salads from
an assortment of fresh fruits and cheeses decoratively arranged
in 'lettuce cups' on a platter.
Make-Your-Own
Fruit Salad
- 1 1/2 cups French dressing
1/4 cup finely chopped walnuts, toasted
1 cup banana chunks
1 cup kiwi slices
Boston lettuce leaves
2 cups assorted melon balls
2 cups pineapple chunks
2 cups peach slices
2 cups small grape clusters
2 cups strawberries
6 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, cubed
6 ounces brick cheese, cubed
- Combine dressing and walnuts;
mix well. Chill.
- Combine banana and kiwi.
- Arrange lettuce on platter
to form cup and fill each with fruit and cheese.
- Serve with dressing mixture.
Makes 8 servings.
