
Classic buffet and potluck
salad fare, this colorful layered salad is chock-full of good
stuff to eat, from top to bottom!
Seven
Layer Salad
- 1/2 head iceberg lettuce,
coarsely chopped
1/2 cup celery, finely diced
1/4 cup onions, finely diced
1/4 cup green pepper, finely diced
1 cup frozen peas, steamed and drained
1 1/4 cups salad dressing
1 1/2 cups (6 ounces) Wisconsin Cheddar Cheese, shredded
1/2 pound bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
- In 9x13-inch glass pan
layer in following order: Lettuce, celery, onions, green pepper,
and peas.
- Spread salad dressing
over vegetables making sure to spread to edge of pan to seal.
- Sprinkle cheese over dressing
to cover. Sprinkle crumbled bacon over cheese.
