A simple spinach salad
with fresh sliced strawberries drizzled with a sesame and poppy
seed vinaigrette.
Spinach
and Strawberry Salad
- 2 tablespoons granulated
sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons sesame seeds
3/4 teaspoon poppy seeds
1/2 teaspoon minced onion
1/8 teaspoon white Worcestershire sauce
1/8 teaspoon paprika
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
8 ounces spinach
1/2 cup sliced strawberries
- In a small covered jar,
combine sugar, sesame seeds, poppy seeds, minced onion, white
Worcestershire sauce, paprika, oil, and cider vinegar; shake
well and refrigerate.
- Trim stems from spinach
and arrange leaves on a serving platter with sliced strawberries.
Drizzle with the chilled dressing.
Makes 6 servings.
