Crushed pineapple adds a sweet twist of flavor to this tasty green pea and cheddar cheese salad.

Sweet Pea Salad

2 cups loose-pack frozen peas
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup crushed pineapple, drained well
1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, diced
1/4 cup chopped celery
2 tablespoons sliced green onions
Dill weed, to taste
Salt and pepper to taste
  1. Place frozen peas in a colander/strainer and thaw under cold running water; drained thoroughly and set aside.
  2. Combine mayonnaise, pineapple, cheese, celery, green onions, salt, pepper and dill. Gently stir in peas. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Makes 6 servings.
